SEC receives new application for bitcoin-ETF registration

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has received another application for registration of a bitcoin-based exchange-traded fund (ETF). It was filed by Valkyrie Digital Assets, according to the agency’s website.

The Delaware-based Valkyrie Investments intends to launch a fund that trades physical bitcoins, according to a Form S-1 document dated January 22. Coinbase Custody will act as custodian of the latter.

If the application is approved, Valkyrie plans to Bitcoin Trader review list the ETF on the NYSE Arca exchange.

„Our team has previously launched several ETFs, publicly traded funds as well as ETPs, including bitcoin-based funds,“ said Valkyrie Digital Assets CEO Lee Wald in a conversation with CoinDesk.
